This program was developed to track, record, and measure the effectiveness of treatment.
Paper records are currently the only method of tracking physicians’ assessments as their environment demands constant motion, yet the practices need digital records to effectively track the efficiency of treatment methods in certain scenarios.
The tablet PC was chosen for the platform as it was easy to access and carry. The workflow had to be streamlined so that the physician could accomplish his goals quickly and without error.
Research artifacts, sketches, wireframes and mockups were created and discussed in meetings with our point of contact at the hospital. His feedback was incorporated into the system and I worked in tandem with the developers to address any technical feasibility issues.
Through this development process I created a vetted workflow that matches the mental model of the physician and allows the hospital to digitize records, track pain scores, and analyze information gathered in easy to read reports so that they can determine which methods work in certain scenarios.
